R. Eleazar also said : Elijah spoke rebelliously to the Most High ; as it is said, heart, why have I not occasion to suckle with them? "For Thou didst turn their heart backward" (I Kings xviii. 37). R. Samuel b. Rab Isaac said : Whence [do we find] that the Holy One, blessed be He, replied and admitted [the plea of] Elijah ?
